The trade discount set for each distribution is 0-55% and that has been set as a standard globally. The more trade discount you get, the better distribution opportunities you will be able to avail.
However, know that retailers do not have the authority to carry, stock or order every type of book. There is a specific time limit dedicated to every book and your book might not be listed in the for a 55% discount trade by the retailers.
This is only dependent on the type of content and subjects your book has. Only then, a retailer will be able to stock it in their store.
We want to make it clear that we do not have any control over the decision a retailer makes. It is entirely up to them if they want to stock or order a specific book. If there is a high trade discount amount and return options only then they might consider keeping and stocking the book.
The distribution fee is billed annually and it is $25 for the ISBN. We bill the fee every January and it begins after your book has been published.
We have a dedicated number of channels to distribute your eBooks or printed book versions. We will even give you an account on the Author’s Center, and it will help you print copies of your books but at wholesale pricing.
